Join us for a presentation where Vitec Energy will share experiences of our journey of working with AI and ML to enhance our energy forecasting models. Our AI initiative began on a small scale about 5 years ago, and now we have a team of 5 model developers who are continuously working to improve the models.
While we quickly recognized AI and ML's potential, we also encountered significant challenges. In this training session, we'll share our experiences, detailing the major challenges and learnings we've faced and how we've addressed them. We’ll cover these topics from a forecasting user perspective, and our model developers will be available for questions.
Key learnings include:
• Performance issues in forecasting and model training
• Handling poor input data
• Forecast accuracy improvements, AI vs regression models
• How can you improve the “black box AI model” without knowing how it thinks?
• Building confidence in our new forecasting models
Our goal is to provide an honest overview of the learnings we have gained, including the challenges we have had and continue to face in our AI model development.
